The present talk aims to illustrate the importance of the instructor’s attitude in cultivating an inspiring classroom climate within foreign language pre-service teacher training. The goal is to shape future pedagogical practices and maximize language acquisition results for learners. This is exemplified by examining the reflections of pre-service teachers at the University of Cádiz (Spain), covering the last nine editions of the course Didactics of Foreign Language in Primary Education (German). The main findings reveal a nearly unanimous consensus among pre-service teachers, regardless of nationality, age, or work experience, concerning the influence of the classroom climate they experienced firsthand as learners on their teaching attitude.
