Mandatory requirements are: Breath of technical knowledge, hands-on experience is beneficial however not mandatory.

Necessary soft skills: Ability to conduct interview with stakeholders to understand their requirements. Work in a group and get results. Comfortable with proceeding with partial information i.e. comfortable with uncertainty.

What I like most: The possibility to make an impact on the organization.

Most exciting challenge so far: Working on a product that reduced business process time by 12x.

Brief job description:

My job as a Solutions Architect is dynamic, with activities varying by project phase. I work with stakeholders to understand their challenges and preferences for solutions. I then propose solutions based on these discussions. Finding solutions can be straightforward from experience or require researching potential solutions and creating a proof-of-concept (PoC) to test hypotheses. Often, I develop features when priorities align. Meeting with other architects for architecture reviews and catch-ups is also an enriching part of my role.
