Questions regarding the Examination Administration - Module EXA

Students can find their courses by searching the course catalog in the 'Module Directory' section. You can find a guide for the new course catalog in Stud.IP and in the Stud.IP-Hilfe-Portal.

After the examination office has entered the medical certificate, you will receive a portal message indicating that a new status for the corresponding assessment is available. After the medical certificate has been entered, the examination will no longer appear in the 'Study achievements' section. Under 'My studies > Programme/module planner' the status of the assessment will be marked as 'withdrawn'.

MBE stands for 'Minimum Requirement Passed.' It is a new status that indicates all modules/accounts for which the minimum requirement has been passed by the students.

To download a transcript for your program of study, navigate through the main menu on the left side to "My Studies" > "Study achievements". If you are enrolled in multiple programs, open the "Route of study" section and check the box next to the program for which you want to view the transcript. In the "Documents" section below the Route of study, you can download the transcript of records for the selected program as well as other documents related to your studies.

If your program of study is not displayed there, please inform us via studierende-fragen-exa@uni-passau.de.
Note: Please include your matriculation number and your previous and current program of study along with the program version in your email.

Transcripts can only be generated per program of study. Instructions on how to generate a transcript can be found in the question 'How can I download a transcript of records for my program of study?' Follow the step-by-step instructions described there.

In the case of Legal Academic Records, your grades are not consolidated into a single account but are categorized into: Legal Intermediate Examinations, Basic Studies, Main Studies, Specialization Area, Languages, Additional Qualifications. If you require a transcript of records, please download these categories individually.

You can download your certificates, such as your enrollment certificate, via 'My Studies' > 'Self-Services' > 'Requested Reports/Reports' tab. By clicking on the respective document, a window opens where you can create a PDF. This will be automatically downloaded. At the same time, under the 'General' section, you can view and print your previously created PDFs. Once you have downloaded the created documents, they will automatically be marked as read.

The program version can be found in several places such as under 'My Studies' > 'Programme/module planner', at 'Self-service' in the tab 'My courses of study', or on the transcript of records. For most versions, it is derived from the start of the program: The date indicates the year; 1 stands for the summer semester, and 2 for the winter semester. For European Studies Version 20141 and 20191, all students of Version 2019-1 who started their studies in the summer semester of 2019.

Changes and entries made by departments (start of grade entry - 'input in progress' and final grade release) trigger a notification in the Campus Portal. These notifications from the Campus Portal are also sent directly to the email address you have provided as your contact address. There are no longer notifications via Stud.IP regarding new examination results.

Changes and entries made by the examination office or the EXA management currently do not trigger a notification in the Campus Portal. The reason for this is the administrative function (and role) of the staff in the Campus Portal.

You can view your contact address in the campus portal under 'My Studies' > 'Self-service' > 'Contact details' tab. If you want to change your email address, please make the changes to the Study Correspondence Email Address.

As the system only calculates the grade average (grade distribution of the examination) per program of study and not for all participants overall, this feature has been deactivated. You cannot view a class grade distribution per examination.

Log in to the Campus Portal with your ZIM ID - Login Campusportal

If it is not possible to open the Campus Portal, we recommend trying a different browser (recommendation: using the Google Chrome browser). If you are unable to do so after several attempts, please contact the ZIM-Support.

You can find information and instructional videos about the Campus Portal on the EXA-Management-Website.

Unfortunately, for the Bachelor of Education (Version 20182, starting from the winter semester 2018/2019), the calculation of the overall grade is not available at the moment. If there are any adjustments made to enable the display of the grade average across all assessments, we will certainly inform you. In the meantime, please contact the examination office regarding grades.

The status 'Input in progress' indicates that the department is in the phase of processing the examination performance and entering the evaluation/grade. Once the department completes the input and changes the grade input status to 'Input completed,' students will receive their entered grades. Notifications about this entry will also be provided through a message on the homepage of the campus portal and via email notification. For specific inquiries (such as the 'Input in progress' status not changing for a long time), please contact your department directly.

You can find a step-by-step guide to exam registration in the brief instructions.

Subject-specific announcements for respective courses and examinations can be found on the websites of the respective departments. General examination-related information can be found on the website of the examination office.

For inquiries regarding technical issues, the ZIM-Support is available to assist you as usual.

All examination-related matters such as credit transfers, certificate applications, requests for changing majors, deadlines, schedules, and examination plans can still be found on the websites of the examination office.

For questions regarding the Campus Portal, students can contact the EXA Management team. They can be reached at the email address: studierende-fragen-exa@uni-passau.de
Note: Please always provide your matriculation number, program of study, examination number, and if necessary, screenshots.

In the Campus Portal, examinations are exclusively listed under the examination numbers. Conversely, in the event portal Stud.IP , you should search using the event numbers. It's noteworthy that examinations in the Campus Portal now have the title of the corresponding event.

Students in programs managed in the Campus Portal (assignments of course groups) can find their courses by searching in the course directory under the 'Module Catalog'. Instructions for the new course directory in Stud.IP can be found in the Stud.IP Help Portal.

You can view examination enrollments from past semesters through the 'My studies' > 'Show my enrollments'. Select the relevant semester for which you wish to view the examination enrollments.

Please note that this may not apply to all programs or study and examination regulations. Due to the system transition in January 2023, enrollments selected before the summer semester 2023 may not be displayed in some cases.
