The University of Passau has been operating a research information system (FIS) (based on the Converis system) since 2014. The survey covers all types of third-party funded projects as well as so-called free projects, which the chairs carry out with their own funds. With the help of the research information system, you can always get an up-to-date overview of your research activities.
Converis is now available again following a security incident in July 2021. Please note that Converis can only be used within Citrix. To do this, log on to Citrix – both in home office and in your office on site. For security reasons, it is also necessary for you to generate a new password (see instructions [German content]). Your previous login details are no longer valid. In future, logging in with the new password can only be done via the Converis login (= blue login screen, you can get to it by clicking on the word "hier" at "Für administrativen Zugang, klicken Sie bitte hier.").
Log in to the research information system at forschung.uni-passau.de with your ZIM username. Please note that access is only possible within the Citrix environment.
You will now see all the research projects for which you are activated. Project directors and deputy project directors automatically receive write access. Project participants automatically receive read permission.
If you wish, you can delegate your role, including the read and write permissions you have received, to other users. This is relevant, for example, if another employee is to maintain your data. In the training material category you will find instructions on how to create and delete user delegations in the research information system.
If you are unable to register, please send an informal request for activation to the contact persons listed below.
How and which research projects are entered into the research information system?
Free projects are projects with a specific prose and of a certain length, or projects that could also be given externally, e.g. to the Ministry of Science, due to their significance and/or importance at university level. It is the responsibility of the scientists to make the distinction. The registration is carried out independently.
Only support in the form of cash benefits is recorded centrally, i.e. no benefits in kind or other benefits.
The Research Services Division records the following
The International Office and Student Services Division records projects from its field (in particular DAAD programmes, EU programmes supervised by the DAAD as the national agency for EU higher education cooperation, in particular ERASMUS+, related projects e.g. BAYHOST, BTHA, BayLAT, BaCaTec, BayChina, BFHZ, and projects of the German-French University, DFH, that were funded by professors and are supervised by them).
The Transfer Centre records project (applications) within the framework of the EXIST start-up grants they supervise.
