Fairteiler on campus – help sought
Roughly 11,000,000 tonnes of food waste are produced in Germany every year (source: BMEL [German content]). The association Foodsharing e.V. [German content] has been campaigning for food appreciation and a reduction in food waste for years. The University of Passau supports this cause.
At the initiative of students and with the support of the Sustainability Hub and Facility Management, a public food rack called “Fairteiler” has been available in the NK copy room R226 (Nikolakloster Building) since mid-2024, where you can leave and pick up edible foodstuff completely free of charge.
Would you like to get involved? The Fairteiler team would be thrilled to have your support! For details visit the sustainability website.
