Networks
We see the organisation of sustainability initiatives in everyday university life as a task that is at the same time collaborative and continuous. This means that we regularly exchange ideas with external partners to generate new ideas for processes, projects and activities. It also means that creating sustainable impulses in the processes of our campus is done in close cooperation with numerous local stakeholders. Cooperation is currently particularly intensive in the following contexts and alliances:
- Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection [German content]: We are closely connected in our cooperation with ESD in schools, in the exchange of knowledge and experience through conferences and in our efforts to become a climate-neutral university.
- Bavarian Network for Sustainability in Higher Education (NHNB): We are involved in the network's Governance Working Group by participating in the regular networking meetings, where we discuss various ideas and strategies for implementing sustainability structures at Bavarian universities.
- Teacher Education Centre (ZLF) at the University of Passau: We are in close exchange with the ZLF, which is committed to inclusivity in education and transports this through its "Heterogeneity, Diversity and Sustainability" department.
- Institute for Applied Ethics in Business and Education at the University of Passau: This institute is another important player and sees itself as a scientific competence centre for questions of business and corporate ethics and sustainability. It acts as an interface between research and practice and is an important initiator of sustainability initiatives on campus, especially when it comes to aspects of sustainable entrepreneurship.
