The event deepened a close partnership between the regions of Quebec and Bavaria that has already existed for decades in the fields of politics, science, culture and business. The University of Passau contributes to this close cooperation with research projects, courses and student exchanges.

Organised by the Chair of Intercultural Communication, Professor Christoph Barmeyer, and his team, Quebec Day provided an exciting platform for intensive discussions. With a special combination of entrepreneurship and interculturality, Quebec Day presented innovative approaches and inspiring ideas. Participants exchanged ideas on promoting cultural diversity, intercultural cooperation and creative business start-ups. The focus was on the common challenges and opportunities of Quebec and Bavaria.

The event provided a special opportunity to learn from each other and network. Expert presentations and panel discussions ensured a lively exchange. In addition, company founders presented their success stories and gave valuable insights into their entrepreneurial activities.

The organisers of the Quebec Day were delighted with the positive response and the lively interest of the participants. "The connection between Quebec and Bavaria is of great importance, and Quebec Day showed that intercultural exchange and entrepreneurship are flourishing in both regions", said Professor Christoph Barmeyer.

The event, which was supported by the Québec Ministry of International Relations and Francophonie, ended with a culinary reception where participants had the opportunity to socialise and expand their networks.
