The negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement of the federal states (Tarifvertrag der Länder) will start in October. These negotiations are not only about higher wages, but also about improving working conditions in general. The trade union „ver.di“ is conducting a survey to identify key concerns for the upcoming negotiations in October. You can take part in the survey via the link www.zusammen-geht-mehr.verdi.de (there under „Und wofür kämpfst du?“ → „Zur Beschäftigtenbefragung“) – regardless of whether you are a member of ver.di. For the trade union ver.di it is especially important that as many of us as possible take part in the survey, because only few employees at universities are members of a trade union and ver.di is therefore often not well informed about the concrete grievances at universities.
There is also an extra survey for student employees, which can also be accessed via the link www.zusammen-geht-mehr.verdi.de (there under „Forderungsbefragung für Studentische Beschäftigte, Auszubildende und dual Studierende“ → „Zur Forderungsbefragung“).
This is the last newsletter for this legislative period. Starting also in October, the newly elected Representative Council will welcome you.
