At the end of the qualification programme, the teams the teams also faced questions from a high-calibre jury. Prof Jan H. Schumann, Vice President for Research and holder of the Chair of Marketing and Innovation, emphasised: ‘The fact that the University of Passau has made PATEC permanent and firmly anchored it in the structure of the university shows the importance we attach to entrepreneurship education. It is not only a useful and stimulating programme for all students who are either already interested in founding a company or who want to get to know the subject and try it out. It is also an important long-term stimulus for the region, which is already benefiting from some very successful founders from the university.’
