With the EXIST-funded project PATEC - Passau, the Entrepreneurial Campus, the University of Passau is on its way to becoming a start-up university.
The existing start-up potential is large. We are already supporting many students who are enthusiastic about founding their own company from the initial idea to their own start-up. For example, they receive advice on funding programmes, take part in competitions and networking events or acquire start-up-relevant know-how in entrepreneurship certificate programmes or work on their own business idea.
In order to develop towards such a genuine entrepreneurial university, the support services will continue to be expanded with the help of PATEC. Students and doctoral candidates will be inspired and supported along the entire entrepreneurial journey, from ideation to the founding of a start-up. In particular, the start-up potential among students of the humanities, social and cultural sciences as well as computer science is to be activated even more strongly and the proportion of women in - increasingly interdisciplinary - start-up teams is to be improved.
