The project ISA:Dig "Internal Degree Programme Audits Before the Background of Digitalisation – Didactics in Higher Education as a Stakeholder in Programme Development and Evaluation" aims to develop and evaluate an audit procedure for degree programmes using an iterative approach. Drawing on present-day research, the project takes into account the determinants of what constitute first-rate study programmes.
When developing degree programmes, the main concern is to respond to the exigencies of the digital turn and amplify the emphasis on competence development using the Qualifications Framework for German Higher Education Qualifications as terms of reference. Findings from research on teaching and learning as well as didactics in higher education serve as guiding principles. Newly developed, partly automated evaluation tools provide information to support the audits.
The audit procedure turns programme development into a collaborative and participatory process that involves multidisciplinary teams, is implemented according to specific rules, is discretionary in its application and carried out in a methodically controlled and communicative manner. It thus serves as a tool for all stakeholders involved in degree programme development.
The project has been awarded a three-year grant by Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre (Foundation for Innovation in University Teaching).
