Membership of Die Junge Akademie is intended for outstanding academics and artists who have completed a doctorate or artistic qualification. The date of the final examination of this work should be at least three, but no longer than seven years ago by the end of the application deadline (11 November 2024), which must be proven by the doctoral certificate or a comparable document. Parental and care periods as well as periods of illness will be taken into account. Neither German citizenship nor main place of residence in Germany are necessary requirements for acceptance. However, members must have good knowledge of the German language. Furthermore, Die Junge Akademie expects its members to actively participate in the academy’s events, which take place primarily in Germany. The willingness and ability to participate must be credibly demonstrated.
