Clean drinking water is a precious commodity. In Ho district, most households are not directly connected to the pubic water supply. Lack of infrastructure and/or high costs of fees are the reasons. According to a recent study, more than 80% use water sources outside their households, mostly within 30 minutes walking distance. In addition to public wells, innovative solutions such as this solar-powered drinking water point are increasingly providing access to clean and safe drinking water, mainly in rural areas.
