Taking everything down will take place directly after the E'Day starting at approximately 21.00 on June 20th.
Further information will follow by email after the end of the application period.
Teams (at least one person must be over 18 years old) or adult individuals who have an idea, concept or business plan for a start-up are eligible to participate. The pitch competition is explicitly aimed at start-up projects in the pre-seed phase, i.e. before actually founding a company. We want to give you an early opportunity to present your ideas and test your storytelling skills on stage.
The pitch feedback workshop on 22 May 2024 from 5-6 pm (Notice that the time has changed, before 4-5 pm) will prepare all applicants for the big stage performance by giving them individual feedback on their pitch. If you are unable to attend the workshop, please contact maria.wilhelm@uni-passau.de in good time.
Applicants who are currently part of the Honours Degree in Entrepreneurship (HD) will receive the pitch training as part of the HD programme and can only attend on 22 May if required.
The pitch training will be conducted by Moritz Maier, research associate at the Chair of Strategic Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and PhD student in the Research Training Group "Digital Platform Ecosystems". Moritz has gained experience as a business developer at numerous startups in the fields of EdTech (Studybees), FinTech (MES & DAK), e-commerce (Regiona), food (Pura Cosmos) and PropTech (VePa) and was most recently responsible for Series B fundraising at the aerospace startup OroraTech. He is an entrepreneur himself and runs the upcycling fashion label PER - FINES. Moritz has already given pitch workshops for Welthungerhilfe and is now looking forward to sharing his knowledge.
The five teams that have qualified for the competition will compete against each other on the Main Stage on E'Day, June 20th. Each team will be given 3 minutes - strictly timed - to present their business idea in a short, concise and entertaining way. Afterwards, live digital voting will be unlocked for the audience to determine the winners - so bring your fan club!
The winners will receive fame, honour and great prizes - afterwards you can celebrate and network at the delicious buffet.
Detailed information on the process will follow by email after the application period ends.
