Bavarian High-Tech Young Talent Award - Application deadline 15.01.2025

With this prize, the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts (StMWK) honours particularly innovative research achievements by scientists working in Bavaria in the early stages of their careers. The prize is endowed with 30,000 euros and is awarded annually.

| Reading time: 1 min.

This year's first call for applications is aimed at scientists in early career phases (especially postdocs and junior research group leaders) whose research offers innovative solutions for the economy and society - for example in the fields of AI/robotics, IT, medicine/care, smart city, mobility, transport/logistics, energy or in the development of new products.

Scientists in the early stages of their career who work at a Bavarian university, a research institution in Bavaria or in an innovative start-up in Bavaria are eligible to participate.

Eligible scientists are invited to submit their own application. Universities, research institutions and innovative start-ups in Bavaria are called upon to motivate suitable people to take part.
The application should contain the following information:
- Description of research achievements (max. 2 pages),
- Letter of reference from a Bavarian professor,
- academic curriculum vitae,
- current list of publications,
- up to three important publications in full text (to remain in the original language)

Researchers can submit their application (no more than 10 pages) electronically to hightechnachwuchspreisbayern@badw.de by 15 January 2025.
