Knowledge transfer – dialogue and cooperation

The goal of the Knowledge Transfer division is to promote a mutual exchange of knowledge, technologies as well as ideas and needs between the university on the one hand and civil society and private sector institutions on the other.

Tasks of the Knowledge Transfer division

  • Supporting chairs and institutes in the initiation of projects and partnerships
    • Finding and mediating project/consortium partners or strategic partners
    • Individual research of and information on funding programmes
    • Basic advice on application/project-related matters, e.g. contracts
  • Identification of transfer-relevant research and its communication to potential users and comparison with transfer-relevant funding programmes
  • Mediation of collaboration requests
    • Targeted addressing of thematically suitable chairs/professors or institutes
    • Outline of possible forms of collaboration, if appropriate
  • Research of transfer-relevant information and individual forwarding
    • Funding initiatives, calls for tenders, areas, events ...
    • Social and economic developments/trends or needs
    • Development in the field of transfer, e.g. Service Learning
  • Knowledge of and networking with target groups and environment
  • Bundling of the transfer-relevant activities of the University of Passau in its external image
  • Participation in the development of the transfer within the university
