Erasmus+ Special Funding
Students and graduates with a degree of disability (GdB) of at least 20 or a chronic illness who are funded for an internship abroad through Erasmus+ can apply for additional funding.
The following options are available for this:
- Monthly subsidy payment (top-up) of 250 euros
- Independent of the destination country
- In addition to the regular Erasmus+ funding rate
- Prerequisite: GdB of at least 20 or chronic illness with additional financial needs abroad.
- Proof: declaration on honour
- A separate application is not necessary. Please contact us if necessary.
- Real cost application
- For students and graduates with a degree of disability of 20 or more or with a chronic illness, it is possible to apply for a real cost application in the event of exceptionally high costs. This considers the individual additional financial needs abroad (up to 15,000 euros per semester and 30,000 euros per academic year).
- In addition to the regular Erasmus+ funding rate
- Please note that only additional costs can be considered which are
- are not taken over by national bodies (integration offices, health insurance funds, regional associations, social welfare offices, student unions).
- you incur as a result of the stay abroad, e.g. flight costs and costs for accommodation for accompanying assistants or for barrier-free accommodation.
- Possible proof: Severely disabled person's card, decision by the state social welfare office, medical certificate if necessary.
- Please allow sufficient time for the application, as the additional financial need must be supported by documentary evidence. The application must be submitted at least three months before the start of the mobility. For the application as well as further information, please contact the Centre for Careers and Competencies.
