Guidelines for bake sales on the campus of the University of Passau
The following guidelines apply on the entire campus of the University of Passau, especially under the Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Brücke.
1.) Please enquire about a planned bake sale at least three working days before the date using the Event Management Section application form.
2.) You must specify the goods you wish to sell in advance with your enquiry.
3.) Only fully bakes goods such as sponge cakes, biscuits, muffins or similar baked goods may be sold in reasonable quantities. Cakes with cream, as well as raw pasta, may not be sold for hygienic reasons and because of lack of refrigeration. Likewise, no goods from external providers such as restaurants/cafés may be (re-)sold; the food must be produced by the students.
4.) Furnishings such as tables and partition walls must be requested in advance with the room application and can be provided with own transport. The furniture must be returned clean.
5.) No electricity or water can be provided for a sale under the Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Brücke; the stand must be operated without electricity/water, i.e. without a refrigerator, for example.
6.) One of the persons present at the sale must instruct the other members of the sales team in hygiene regulations. Sellers should wear gloves when selling.
7.) Any waste must be disposed of completely by the organiser. Any subsequent disposal of waste will otherwise be charged to the organiser.
8.) It is possible to provide other rooms or spaces, such as a foyer, for a bake sale.
9.) In the winter semester, the bake sale, i.e. fully cooked baked goods, can take place during the mulled wine sale in the mulled wine huts on the Mensa forecourt. During the remaining time, the cake sale may take place under the Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Brücke.
Each organizer may hold a bake sale two days a semester. Furthermore, AStA/SprecherInnenrat may organise a bake sale for social purposes once per semester. In the winter semester, the Christmas market has established itself on the Mensa forecourt.
