Scholarships for female early career researchers
The Bavarian Equal Opportunity Fund offers scholarships and prizes to promote equal opportunities for women in research and teaching. Information on the necessary documents can be found in the information sheet.
Doctoral scholarships can only be awarded for the final phase of a doctorate. The amount of this scholarship is 1,200 euros, plus childcare allowances. The maximum duration of the scholarship is six months, but ends once the doctorate is complete. For further information please refer to the Information sheet on doctoral grants.
The project funding for female postdocs aims to enable women who have completed their doctorates to begin, continue and/or complete a project that will enable them to pursue a university career (Assistant Professorship or habilitation). The amount of this subsidy is 2,400 euros, plus childcare allowances. The scholarship usually lasts one year, but can be extended in exceptional cases. Funding is provided for young, female early career researchers at the University of Passau who are seeking to complete a habilitation in accordance with Art. 65 of the Bavarian University Act. The amount of this subsidy is 2,800 euros, plus childcare allowances. The scholarship usually lasts one year, but can be extended in exceptional cases. The application deadline for the doctoral degree scholarships, project funding for postdoctoral researchers and habilitation funding is the 08. April 2024.
