Gender Equality

The University of Passau's gender equality work aims to create an internal university infrastructure that makes study or career compatible with family and thus promote equal opportunities between women and men in academia. In addition, it supports the funding of female early career researchers and helps them build networks with one another.

The advancement of women's interests is an important and established element of the gender equality process. Equality, therefore, does not mean offering all funding instruments equally to both men and women. However, men's work can also be part of an equality process: for example, to counteract the feminisation of certain study programmes.
