Monika Ranabhat
Monika Ranabhat is a passionate leader and activist, currently pursuing her Master’s in Governance and Public Policy at the University of Passau, Germany, through the prestigious DAAD-Helmut Schmidt Program. She serves as a student research assistant with the Bioeconomy Economics group on the ReValueD project, which focuses on residue valorization for bio-based products in developing countries.
Monika holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Pokhara University and previously worked as a Research Officer at Pokhara Research Centre, a think tank promoting economic freedom and good governance in Nepal. She has been involved in youth activism since 2017, serving as Province Coordinator for the Nepal Youth Council.
As President of the National Girls Network, Nepal, she led initiatives supporting adolescent girls, including the notable ‘Girls with President’ program at the Office of the President of Nepal. Her interests include Gender and Development, Public Policy, Sustainable Development, and Development Economics. Monika aspires to contribute to Nepal’s development through expertise in policy, research, and planning.
