- Research report "Gender-based violence, stalking and fear of crime. Country report Germany" (Ruhr University Bochum 2012)
- In 2010/2011, the Ruhr University Bochum carried out a Europe-wide survey on sexual harassment among female students. More than half of the 12,663 female students surveyed in Germany had experienced sexual harassment during their studies; 22% felt stalked. Some 2.3% of the female students interviewed experienced sexual violence in the narrower sense. Many female students were very afraid that the sexual harassment would come from teaching staff. However, the results show that 82% of sexual harassment, 90% of stalking cases and 86% of sexual violence were committed by fellow students.
