Franziska Jäckel is a doctoral student at the “Bioeconomic Economics” group in the project: “Residue valorization for bio-based products in the developing countries: bridging the gap between technical knowledge and socio-economic realities (ReValueD)”. She is completing her Master's degree in International Economics and Business at the University of Passau, where she also obtained her Bachelor's degrees in International Cultural and Business Studies and Business Administration and Economics.
During her Master’s, she worked at the Chair of International Economics as a student assistant and at the Chair of Economic Theory as a tutor for Macroeconomics and Behavioral Game Theory.
Her research interests lie within the field of Development Economics and Environmental Economics with a focus on agriculture, finance, and international relations between West Africa and Europe. For her doctoral thesis she will conduct annual field studies in Ghana.
