Ways out of the mental load trap through a fairer division of labour in the family
Almost every day-to-day task in family or couple life involves a long tail of mostly unpaid planning, documentation and coordination tasks that usually remain invisible. The accompanying feeling, especially among women, that they are responsible for everything can lead to serious stress with symptoms similar to burnout.
The steps for a fairer division of labour in the family on Equalcareday.de show how this mental load can be distributed fairly.
The mental load self-test "DO YOU EQUAL CARE?!" provides information about your own load.
To the short interview with author Patricia Cammarata on the topic of mental load on the Instagram channel of the Diversity and Equality Unit
