Honors Program
Since the winter term 2015/2016, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Information Systems at the University of Passau has been supporting students who demonstrate excellent performance in the field of business and economics.
The program offers participating students versatile opportunities to specifically expand their academic and practical skills beyond the regular course offerings.
Honors students
The Honors Program is aimed at students of the School of Business, Economics and Information Systems. In individual cases, students from other schools with a specialization in economics may also be admitted to the program, provided they excel in their studies in economics.
Program contents
The goal of the Honors Program is to support students by providing additional opportunities on the part of the school beyond the university course offerings. The focus is on personal and academic development. Another component of the program is the cooperation and networking of Honors students with external support partners such as companies and institutions.
Each Honors student is accompanied by a university mentor. Mentoring takes place in individual and group sessions and aims at informal exchange and transfer of experience and knowledge between program participants and professors.
The Honors Program is based on the principle of voluntariness and self-initiative. Therefore, no mandatory courses are offered and no ECTS credits are awarded.
Program Completion: Honors-Certificate
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Honors-Certificate confirming participation in the Honors Program. A final report summarizing the participants' experiences and activities must be submitted for this purpose.
