Developing an integrated Climate Action Concept for the University of Passau
As a strategic basis for decision-making and planning tool for future activities to protect the climate, the University's climate manager, Angie Schüppel, is developing a climate action concept. As a starting point for emission reducing measures, a stocktake of current greenhouse gas emissions for the year 2022 is in preparation. Building on it, the concept will explore the technical and economic potential and short-, mid- and long-term goals for emissions reduction will be set. Additionally, the concept will provide a catalogue of measure to meet the goals. The concept will also entail how to control, maintain and communicate the implementation efforts. To implement the concept and meet the goals, broad participation of all members of the University is essential. That is invite you to bring in your ideas! The ClimUP-Newsletter offers you the opportunities to egt involved every month and keeps you updated on the most important milestones of the concept development.
The project is suppported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action according to a decision of the German Federal Parliament. More information on the funding and the concept can be found here.
