BioDIVA participation at 21. Annual AERA Conference "Sustainable Agricultural Growth for Improving Rural Livelihood Security" in Srinagar, India
BioDIVA research fellow Monish Jose and colleague Ulrike Grote were invited to present a paper at the 21. Annual AERA Conference "Sustainable Agricultural Growth for Improving Rural Livelihood Security" in Srinagar, India on September 10th-12th, 2013.
In their presentation they introduced the study "Acreage response of paddy farmers in Wayanad: Application of Autoregressive Distributive Lag bounds testing approach". This study has estimated the impact of price and non-price factors on the acreage response of paddy farmers so that appropriate policies are formulated to promote paddy cultivation based on empirical evidences.
